I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual counseling for clients located in North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Virtual therapy lets you receive professional support from the comfort of your home, office, or any private location that works for you.
Getting started is simple. Reach out through my contact page and we’ll set up a free consultation to talk about what you’re looking for and answer your questions.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll find an appointment time that works for your schedule.
A free initial phone consultation is a brief 15-minute conversation where we’ll talk through your concerns, answer your questions, and see whether we’re a good fit to work together.
Most sessions last about 50 minutes. This gives us enough time to explore what’s going on, build practical strategies, and create a plan for moving forward without feeling rushed.
I primarily work with adults who struggle with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, burnout, overthinking, and the pressure to always perform. Many of my clients are high achievers who look successful on the outside but feel exhausted and overwhelmed on the inside.
My clients include men, women, and older adolescents, along with couples when appropriate.
I hold graduate degrees in counseling, business, and economics, with more than 25 years of experience across clinical, school, and professional counseling settings. I’m fully licensed as a counselor in North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
My work is practical and focused on results. I use approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I tailor the work to what you’re dealing with.
For anxiety and OCD, we’ll face fears in small, manageable steps rather than all at once. I compare it to easing into a cold pool: you start with your feet, then your ankles, then your knees, and your body adapts as you go.
Faith is welcome in our work if it matters to you, and it’s never required. I work with people of all backgrounds.
My Christian faith has been an important part of my own life and formation, and I believe Christian counseling requires more than simply adding Scripture or prayer to therapy. My understanding of ministry has also been shaped by firsthand experience.
My wife served on the staff of a large, nationally recognized church for nine years, while I served as a volunteer and, for seven years, as a Production Director helping lead ministry teams alongside her. I also experienced the unique pressures of ministry life as a staff spouse.
These experiences have given me a meaningful understanding of the challenges pastors, ministry leaders, staff members, and their families can face. For clients with a strong or mature faith, my goal is to engage both the clinical and spiritual dimensions of their lives while respecting the authority of scripture and drawing on evidence-based clinical practice.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes, you simply know that something isn’t working, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected, or you recognize yourself in something you’ve read on this website. That’s enough to start.
Part of my role as a therapist is to help you understand what is happening, identify what matters most, and determine where we can begin. You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis, a perfectly defined problem, or a plan for therapy. We can start with where you are and work from there.

You’ve spent a long time making sure everyone else was okay. It’s time to put some of that care toward yourself.
If you’re ready to move past the anxiety, the OCD, the perfectionism, and the pressure to have it all figured out, I’d be glad to help.
You don’t need all the answers today. You just need to start the conversation.
